Chewy is our Adoptable Dog of the Week

This handsome boy could be your furry soul mate if you’re looking for a loyal and loving dog! Chewy, a two-year-old Brussels Griffon mix from East Windsor, New Jersey, is our Adoptable Dog of the Week. Besides being neutered and vaccinated, he’s housetrained, leash trained, and gets along with other dogs and children of all ages.

The Tale of Chewy

When Chewy was found by his rescuers, he wasn’t impersonating a teddy bear – he was a stray.

In spite of his poor luck with previous owners, Chewy loves people: so much so that he tends to be a bit of a velcro dog. In addition, he is also a one-owner type, but that doesn’t mean he won’t warm up to other family members, he will just recognize one alpha of the pack as his main pawrent.

Chewy can be a bit of a control freak, as an alpha in the pack. It takes an experienced adopter who knows how to assert himself as the pack leader to really gain Chewy’s respect. Except for the fact that he has a little attitude (which is pretty standard for little pooches, trust me! ), this boy is in great shape. Although he gets along well with other dogs, he is not comfortable with small children or cats.

Chewy has been housetrained and crate trained, as well as being excellent on a leash. Chewy loves walks and car rides with his human even more than cuddles and treats!

Chewy can be adopted by All God’s Creatures Inc. if you love his million dollar smile and pudgy little paws.
